The LDF (or Liechtenstein Disclosure Facility) is a bespoke HMRC service supporting reviews to be carried out by Financial Intermediaries in Liechtenstein to identify clients who may have a liability to UK taxation.
The LDF allows people with unpaid tax linked to investments or assets in Liechtenstein to settle their tax liability under this special arrangement. By coming forward and disclosing assets and investments under the LDF, the taxpayer is able to take advantage of a number of special terms, including:

The LDF began on 1 September 2009 and will run until 31 March 2015 but it is advisable to act sooner rather than later - those who come under investigation before registering will no longer be eligible.
